Watch Out Festival
“the edgiest contemporary theatre around” The Stage
Cambridge’s annual festival of dangerous new theatre and dance returns in 2017.
Featuring world premieres, a UK premiere, previews and more brand new work by performing artists based in Cambridge, Ely, Brighton, Colchester and London, WATCH OUT is Cambridge’s showcase of fresh new experimental work with something to say, developed as part of Cambridge Junction’s ongoing commitment to supporting contemporary performance from local, regional and nationally based artists.
The projects and shows this year provide an opportunity to explore, see and engage with our local world in new ways – Cambridge, the local community, the Cambridge Leisure square, Cambridge Junction’s spaces, the wider world, family, strangers, each-other. Whether you like watching from afar or getting right involved, sitting or wandering, love your apps or prefer listening to your radio, WATCH OUT has something for you.
All day free drop-in projects:
- Hunt & Darton: 24 Hour Radio Local
- Idit Nathan & Helen Stratford: Play Cambridge Now or Never!
- Hester Chillingworth: Warning Signs

- Anna Brownsted: Splitter
- Francesca Beard: How To Survive a Post-Truth Apocalypse
