Jane Weaver

Event Information
Abusing, evading and obliterating 20 years of whimsical pop trends, Weaver, an independent and resilient songwriter, commands respect and inspiration in equal measures.
She’s joined for this evening by three special guests: Anna B Savage, Albertine Sarges and Andy Votel.
Latest album Flock is the most genuine version of Jane Weaver.
It’s an eco-friendly hum: pop music reinvented for post-new-normal times. The cosmic sounds are still prevalent, but it is a natural rebellion to recent releases.
Weaver has recorded eight solo albums, including The Silver Globe and Modern Kosmology.
She has also written and recorded with pioneering artists such as Wendy & Bonnie, Suzanne Ciani, Cybotron and Suzanne Christie, as well as non-conformists including Demdike Stare, Dave Tyack and The Focus Group.
Weaver’s desire to cultivate and promote Manchester’s lesser-documented female musicians led to her long-running Bird imprint, housed in Andy Votel’s Twisted Nerve label.
Weaver’s music has appeared in fashion campaigns for Chanel and Chloé, plus a wide range of TV and films, including the soundtrack to the second series of Killing Eve.
