The English American writer/comedian brings her ‘funny, life-affirming show about love, loss and hope’ on tour, fresh from the Soho Theatre, Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, the Edinburgh Fringe and a sold out US run.

Alison found true love for the first time in her 50s with an Indian climate scientist who had also immigrated to the US. Then he died. Then something wildly unexpected happened. Instead of wanting to hide under the bed and never come out, Alison found herself wanting to live and love more fully than ever before. When Archbishop Desmond Tutu found out about it, he insisted she tell this story as widely as possible ‘because it will bring hope.’

Music by Emmy award-winning composer Gary Schreiner. Alison is the bestselling author of The English American, a Vogue most powerful book of the season and the multi award-winning narrator of The Complete Novels of Jane Austen. Advance copies of Alison’s brand new book Grief… A Comedy will be available after the show exclusively for audience members. ‘Alison Larkin is hugely entertaining… marvelously light-footed’ (Clive Davies, The Times).
