The Maddie Show

Hannah and Maddie are real life sisters. Hannah’s the one with blonde hair and Maddie’s the one with brown. Hannah’s the drama kid and Maddie can be shy. They both wear dungarees. Tonight they’re hosting a dinner party round their house and you’re all invited. But don’t come hungry because they’re only providing snacks (party rings).

So find yourself a seat at our table and bask in the solidarity of sisterhood as we ask: what happens when a trauma robs us of our words? How do we then tell that story?

This is an interactive trip down memory lane. A journey of self-discovery, bravery and family. Expect dance routines, forbidden rooms and sibling rivalry.

Second Circle Theatre is made up of female duo Hannah and Zoe. We specialise in creating community-centred experiences in unique and intimate spaces. Previous shows include: Meeting at 33, Pleasance, Edinburgh (4* The Scotsman, The Scotsman Best Shows, What’s on Stage Top 10 Immersive Shows) Kiss Chase, The Bunker Theatre, London (4* West End Wilma).

A Suffocating Choking Feeling

“I am dying, but I’m not dead yet...”

Living day to day, not knowing if tomorrow will come, Simone Hamilton has overcome the odds. Social Media influencer and dream workshop facilitator, join Simone as she takes you on an intimate journey of self-discovery with unapologetic vulnerability. Part interactive workshop, part brutally honest confession - A Suffocating Choking Feeling is a celebration of life.

Simone French is a live-wire theatre maker, singer and physical performer who makes work that interacts with audiences spontaneously and unconventionally, rebelling against an elitist view of theatre. She invites audiences to celebrate their imagination and build community through embracing creative-participation. She uses technology and unconventional mediums to make work that is relevant and urgent, emphasising strong female voices and challenging gender stereotypes. She co-founded outrageous theatre company TomYumSim in 2014. Recent credits include: String Lines (Royal Exchange Theatre), Nothing Special (Camden People’s Theatre) and Rage Face (The Yard).

Urban Foxes Collective

Mother Culture

Mother Nature is back, she has been hearing a lot from you lately. So, in the spirit of modern humanity she will answer all of your questions through the medium of a Ted Talk. Mother Culture examines the follies of human nature that cause collective ignorance, denial and inability to act in the face of climate catastrophe. Why do we ignore the facts, look the other way and plod on with our daily lives towards oblivion?

Urban Foxes Collective are a devising company that create confrontational comedy which tackles complex issues. The work created is personal, political, highly theatrical and always aims to entertain. Mother Culture won the 2018 Suitcase Prize at the Pulse Festival and a Troop New Ideas Award.
