Tom Adams: 48-hour modern orchestra

Date:Fri 14 Dec
Time:7 - 9pm

Join Tom and local musicians as they create and improvise songs after meeting up for just 48 hours before their performance.  Expect ambient, classical and electronic music genres.

Tom Adams is a producer and songwriter originally from Cambridge. Following a chance opportunity to perform one of his songs onstage with modern classical star Nils Frahm, Tom relocated to Berlin where he has been establishing a reputation for writing poignant atmospheric music. He released a record of solo songs called 'Silence' with Kowloon records early in 2017 that was well received, being played numerous times on BBC6 by Mary Anne Hobbs, Lauren Laverne and Steve Lamacq. The album was also included in Bob Boilen's (NPR) top 10 albums of the year. Tom has performed concerts around Europe, both headlining and supporting artists such as 'Perfume Genius', 'Hauschka' and 'A Winged Victory For The Sullen'.

This performance is a result of the Cambridge Junction music residency.
