Date:Tue 05, 12, 19, 26 Oct
Time:From 6pm
Venue:The Boardroom
Price:£25 for four workshops

Presented by Ant Hampton & Christophe Meierhans

The Thing is a workshop that creates the best possible conditions for you to dare to be another version of yourself; to take a leap of both faith and imagination, to step out of your comfort zone and engage with the world as if the things that limit you had been removed.

It can also be thought of as an autoteatro performance where the only people present are a small group of participants who open a suitcase and follow a mix of recorded and scripted triggers and suggestions. There are no leaders or authors present. It comprises four sessions or episodes, each about 4 hours long, with one episode each week for four weeks. We hope participants will come from all walks of life.

The Thing will take place at Cambridge Junction from mid-March to mid-April, and the schedule of workshops will be:

Group dates & times:

1st session: Tues 5th October 6-10pm

2nd session: Tues 12th October 6-11pm

3rd session: Tues 19th October 6-9pm

4th session: Tues 26th  6-10pm

The workshops are priced at £25 for 4 workshops. If you are experiencing financial barriers to accessing these workshops but would like to take part, please get in touch with Ema Boswood on

To get involved, book your place in either Group one or Group two, and you will be contacted by Cambridge Junction with further details. If you have any questions email Arts Producer Ema Boswood at
