Joseph J Clark proudly hosts and comperes an intimate evening of high quality entertainment, with two acclaimed international acts known for their warm stage presence, storytelling, and songwriting.

Sam Lewis is a country-soul artist based in Nashville, Tennessee. With a rich soulful vocal, laid-back and comforting stage presence, and sharp eye for melody, he is an irresistable performer. His blues-flavoured debut album, ‘Waiting on you’, received a top review from Mojo and featured in the Telegraph’s list of top country albums from 2015. His latest work, 2018’s Loversity, is a richly-produced album, positively dripping with soul and smooth grooves.

Cambridge-based Dan Wilde is a songwriter who has built a name for himself with observant, wittily crafted songs, engaging story-telling and charismatic presence, and intricate guitar work. His three studio albums show the development of an extraordinary talent, with his fourth album in the works.

This third edition of Songs & Stories sees the event move to the J2 at the Junction. Audiences can expect comfortable seating and a laid-back evening in Cambridge’s premier music venue. Previous guests to the Songs & Stories stage include King Size Slim, Hollie Rogers, Chris Fox and Camisayo.

Songs & Stories is organised, promoted and hosted by Cambridge-based poet Joseph J Clark. Known for his alcohol-themed poems, Joseph has performed his Drunk With A Pen show at Cambridge Folk Festival, Brighton Fringe, and Strawberry fair. He also has a self-published, non-profit illustrated booklet called Drunk With A Pen, which contains 13.5 poems about drink and drinking. All proceeds go to local homeless charities.
