Snow White Storytelling Competition: LOST IN THE FOREST

Calling young imaginations! Do you like writing stories?

We are looking for budding writers aged under 13 to pen a short story entitled “Lost In The Forest”. Winning entries will be performed by actors from NIE with a video made and shared online as well as earning the writer tickets to see a family show at Cambridge Junction.

We are accepting entries in the following categories:

  • under 8 years of age: 250 words
  • 8 – 13 years of age: 400 words

The competition is open now. The deadline for entries 5pm Monday 10th December.

FIRST PRIZE: Have your story recorded by the cast of Snow White and receive x4 tickets* to a family show at Cambridge Junction
RUNNER UP PRIZE: x4 tickets* to a family show at Cambridge Junction.
*(max. of 2 adults)

HOW TO ENTER

  • Download the ENTRY FORM from the Cambridge Junction website.
  • Write your story in the space provided
  • Ensure your name, age, and contact details are included at the bottom of the form.

GUIDELINES FOR COMPETITION

  • Keep within the word length
  • Write your own version of how it feels to be lost in forest all on your own.
  • Avoid telling the story of Snow White
  • How does the story begin? How does it end? What happens?
  • Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
  • Originality
  • Characterisation
  • Language
  • Enjoyment
