Salon is a new project produced by Cambridge Junction. The concept is to hold space for the exchange and sharing of new ideas between people working in the arts, games, digital media and technology, research and academia.

Our hope is to help foster cross-sector and interdisciplinary collaboration. At each event there will be a series of short presentations, discussion and sharing using a form of Open Space technology, and a chance to network with a bunch of interesting and interested people.

This event – SALON: BODY – will peer into the cracks of the female body through history, the perception of the body through the lens of Arts and the Media, the #MeToo movement. Come and join the conversation.

Anna Malander

Anna Melander is a Swedish dance artist and choreographer living in Cambridge. Her work is influenced by the complexities we face, living in the modern world, and the roles we are required to play within it - whether by choice or compulsion. Always infused with humour, she seeks to examine how factors such as sex, gender and age define us, dictate our fate and create all our unique playing fields, both as individuals and as part of society as a whole."
