A young woman imprisoned in a tower. A wicked aunt with a serious anger management problem. A prince with self-esteem issues. And a LOT of hair.

Trapped in a lonely tower by a wicked enchantress since the day she was born, Rapunzel has never been outside, never been on a date, and never had a haircut. But when a nature-loving Prince climbs up her plait, her life, her world and her hairdo is about to unravel!

Expect a brush with danger, delight and dreadlocks as the much loved (pony) tale by the Brothers Grimm is given a fresh twist this Christmas. Dancing Brick, the award-winning company behind Thumbelina's Great Big Adventure (2013), return to Cambridge Junction with a fun-filled family show packed with live music, physical comedy and their signature bold theatrical style.

Recommended for everyone aged 5+ and all the family.

"witty, warm and wacky alternative kids Christmas show" ★★★★ The Stage

"...a modern, fast-paced theatre experience packed with music, comedy and tragedy ... down-to-earth comedy that children love." Cambridge Edition

"This is a family Christmas Show, and for many children, their first experience of a theatre. The show introduces them to theatre, not pantomime and that is to be lauded. There is nothing wrong with good old fashioned panto. But if you would rather your children not be exposed to innuendo, gaudy Dame’s make-up and screams of ‘it’s behind you’ then this production is well worth considering." Grapevine Live

''...rich with characters, humour, twists and turns, and includes some touches of pantomime to give the children the opportunity for some interaction with those on stage.'' Cambridge Independent

"a triumph, it encompasses all the classics of a good fairytale but with a millennial twist" Cambridge News

Recommended for everyone aged 5+ and all the family.

Running time: approximately 1 hr 45 (including 15 minute interval)
