Producer Gathering Live Event

Date:Thu 01 Jul 2021
Time:Midday - 4pm
Venue:J2 (seated socially distanced event)
Price:Free (ticketed)

Marlborough Productions and Cambridge Junction are proud to present the first Producer Gathering event since the project’s re-launch early this year.

The Producer Gathering live event is a space to offer insights into and context around independent producing practices, at all levels of experience, happening across the arts sector right now.

Continuing the spirit of previous Producer Gathering events, we create a relaxed, safe and friendly space with food and drinks that’s free to attend.

We will be running a one-day live event where producers will have the chance to gather and:

  • exchange information and experiences, resources and successful models of working
  • attend training sessions delivered for free
  • reflect on the state of the sector and being an independent producer.
  • meet others working in the sector and strengthen networks

Featuring:

  • Cassie Leon

Cassie Leon is an arts and cabaret producer focusing on the experience and care of the QTIBPOC community working in live performance. Her practice centres on ensuring the representation, inclusion and participation of marginalised people within arts and culture.

  • Ashleigh Bowmott

Ashleigh Bowmott of The Uncultured will share provocations and useful information on how we could shift the balance of pay disparity between freelance and salaried workers, and how we can all ask for things that might improve our working conditions.
