Date:Tue 18 Jun
Time:Doors 7pm
Price:£9 adv

Eartheater and Semiconductor join forces for a tour of experimental and immersive music.

Fracture Patterns is a new collaboration between UK artist duo Semiconductor and New York musician and producer Eartheater. This original commission combines multi-channel video works by Semiconductor with a new live soundtrack and performance by Eartheater.

Semiconductor’s visually engaging artworks explore the material nature of our world and how we experience it through the lenses of science and technology. Eartheater explores experimental pop and fantasy, through electronic music and an otherworldly vocal techniques that combine to create an enigmatic live performance style. Together they form a compelling unity in Fracture Patterns.

Semiconductor is UK artist duo Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt. Their interests lie in the material make-up of our world and how we experience it through the lens of science and technology, crafting responses that often result in large scale audio-visual installations.

Eartheater is Alexandra Drewchin, a New York based musician, artist, and choreographer working across classical and pop paradigms. A viscerally emotive live performer, composer and vocalist, her work is suspended between detailed sonic tapestries and gestural electronica.

Fracture Patterns is the fifth in the OUTLANDS series.

With support from is Twenty-three Hanging Trees

Twenty-three Hanging Tree's progression from hazy guitar drones to electronic-based explorations has been a transformative one. Learning to express himself with synthesis was like learning a new language, each step having to be carefully planned and executed so as to maintain the fragile equilibrium created.
