Recruitment

Technical Apprentice

Get paid, engage creatively with all departments of an arts venue, and earn a recognised qualification.

Cambridge Junction delivers an innovative Creative Apprenticeship programme in partnership with National College of Creative Industries.

Creative Apprenticeships offer a non-graduate entry route to working in the creative and cultural sector. Cambridge Junction will provide a suitable learning space here at the venue, in order to complete your Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship Qualification. As an apprentice you will be working alongside industry professionals, in a working arts venue, giving you the relevant skills you need to become a highly skilled and outstanding arts employee.

We are recruiting x1 Technical Apprentice, starting in January. The apprenticeship takes 18-21 months to complete. To apply for the technical apprenticeship, you must be between the ages of 16 – 24. Due to this apprenticeship being a non-graduate entry route into the arts industry, you cannot apply if you have already obtained a degree.

Each year our team of apprentices also have the opportunity to devise, implement and manage their own one-day cross arts festival called Junkyard. For this they gain knowledge and an understanding of all of the different departments that make up an arts venue. They then use this knowledge to plan, programme, market and deliver the festival, which adds a lot of value to the apprentices learning.
