Me & Robin Hood: Change The Story

Date:Wed 18 Oct
Price:£5 or £10, pay what you can afford

A Hoipolloi & Royal Court co-production in association with Pleasance, PBJ Management and Theatre Royal Plymouth. Supporting Street Child United World Cup 2018

Me & Robin Hood is Hoipolloi’s brand new show about Shôn Dale-Jones’s longstanding relationship with his favourite fictional friend.

Continuing to question the value of art and following on from The Duke which raised over £36,500 in in its first year of touring, Me & Robin Hood seeks to raise money for Street Child United World Cup 2018. A charity that uses the power of sport to change the way the world negatively sees and treats street-connected children, so they can be protected, respected and supported to build a life away from the streets.

Shôn first met Robin Hood in the autumn of 1975, as a seven-year-old-boy and they have been good mates ever since. Robin’s been going crazy recently about the direction our world is heading. He can’t believe there hasn’t a bigger reaction to all the madness since Brexit and Donald Trump moved into The White House. This show is his idea. He’s convinced we need to change the story of money and share the opportunity we’ve been given if we really want to do something about the growing gap between rich and poor.

To start the process, we’re selling tickets to the show for a fiver or a tenner. You decide what to pay - you know what you can afford. Robin made the point the other day that both ticket prices are a steal, priced well below the market value. And please bring cash to the show, as Robin says we have more work to do to change this story…
