Igor & Moreno Leaning and Falling

Date:Wed 04 Oct
Time:6:30-9:30pm
Venue:J3
Price:£20 / £15 for Troop members

Igor and Moreno’s workshop will be an opportunity to step into the research field of their upcoming show ANDANTE which sees the theatre filled with smoke and smell. The physical practice of the workshop will use the principles of leaning and falling as triggers to put the body in motion and explore movement and spatial composition.

The workshop will also encourage participants to find an alert performative state, in which all our senses can come into play when engaging with movement, the space and the people around us. Through both improvisation and set exercises it works on developing physical and vocal awareness. The workshop will include heavy elements of dance and voice, although no specific prior training is necessary - all performance experience welcome!

Igor & Moreno have been touring their critically acclaimed works Idiot-Syncrasy and A Room For All Our Tomorrows internationally since 2012 and have been nominated for the National Dance Awards and the Total Theatre Awards, among others. They are currently both associated artists of The Place (London) and TIR Danza (Italy).
