Light Fantastic!

Event Information
Presented by Ensonglopedia
A madcap musical comedy about light, science and friendship for all ages.
Thirty years ago, childhood friends Rod and Iris played an ill-fated gig at their school science fair. Today their band is reuniting for a one-off anniversary extravaganza. Will their experiment succeed, or will uncontrolled variables force them to abandon their hypothesis?
‘Light Fantastic!’ is the brand new show by Ensonglopedia. It is written and performed by award-winning science-singer-songwriter John Hinton, and award-winning comedian/performer Laura Mugridge. John’s previous science-inspired shows at Cambridge Junction have included his trilogy of musical comedies about Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein and Marie Curie.
The music is a mix of electronic dance music, rap and pop – think Daft Punk or the Chemical Brothers. The science is fact-checked by Diamond Light Source and Sussex University, and aligns with the national curriculum in science for 11-14 year olds, though the show will be enjoyed by all ages from 7 to adult.
