Get ready to move and groove at our Caribbean Social Dances Workshop with Azara!

Join us for a 2 hour dynamic workshop as we explore the vibrant world of Caribbean social dances, with a special focus on the infectious rhythms and movement language of dancehall. Discover the rich cultural and historical context behind these dances, and learn how they have evolved and been shaped by the diverse influences of the Caribbean region.

During the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to embody the energy and rhythms of dancehall through interactive activities and immersive experiences. From mastering foundational steps to understanding the cultural significance of the dance, you’ll walk away with a newfound appreciation for this dynamic art form.

Come celebrate the heritage of Caribbean dances, let’s connect and move together!

And if you’re looking for more Caribbean-inspired dance, make sure to catch the performance OUT by Ray Young at Cambridge Junction on 20 & 21 March, featuring the talented Azara. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience the art form in action after our workshop!

The workshop is open to Black and Brown Cambridge Communities only.
