Alarmingly, mental health issues are becoming ‘the norm’ among new mothers. Artists and arts led organisations will share examples of how they are working to tackle factors exacerbating the problem and support people who are struggling.

This session will cover initiatives taking place both nationally and locally, provide information on how you can get involved and offer ideas on how to support yourself and even the community around you. 

Speakers include:

  • Laura Godfrey-Isaacs - Artist, activist and midwife.
  • Jodie Hawkes - Artist and senior lecturer at Chichester University.
  • Matilda Leyser - Artist and Founder of Mothers Who Make.
  • Gavin Clayton – Director Arts and Minds and the Arts on Prescription Programme
