Creative Choices: Industry Insights

Working in The Arts

Cambridge Junction is committed to offering educational opportunities that can enhance children and young people’s arts and cultural experience, and also open their minds to the prospect of working in the arts and broaden their future job choices.

Twice a year Cambridge Junction throws open its doors to young people aged 12 – 18 who would like a career in the creative and cultural sector. Held in conjunction with Creative and Cultural Skills, our Creative Choices Industry Days provide insight into the wide range of job opportunities in the arts and exposure to what happens behind the scenes.  Young people are able to participate in a meet-the-staff round-table question and answer session about entry routes, career paths and individual experiences and to participate in ‘behind-the-scenes’ workshops in areas such as technical theatre, design and directing.

Industry Days give young people an opportunity to develop insight and knowledge from those that work in the field, connecting the future creative workforce with industry professionals.

As an Arts Award Supporter, our Creative Choices days offer the perfect opportunity for young people completing an Arts Award, to gain first hand industry knowledge.
