In the middle of a snow-covered forest sits a tiny cottage unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Its roof is made of gingerbread, the walls are made of chocolate cake, the door is made of boiled sweets and the windows of clear sugar glaze, but what’s inside?
This Christmas follow Hansel and Gretel into the frozen forest… and find out.
Following sell-out runs in Bristol, Cambridge and Peterborough, international theatre company NIE (New International Encounter) return to Cambridge Junction with an enchanting show transforming the theatre into a magical winter woodland. Adapting the classic fairytale with their blend of live music, clowning and storytelling, NIE bring you a beautiful show for all the family to enjoy.

Group Rate
We offer a school and group discount in which tickets are priced at £10 each to the above performances, plus 1 free teacher per 10 pupils. To ensure you receive this deal please call the Box Office on 01223 511511 to make a booking.
How to book

Our Box Office staff will be able to provide you with any extra information about the venue or show and take you through the steps of making a booking. Once your booking is confirmed, tickets are non-refundable.
Payment can be made by BACS or credit card. We will send you out an invoice that needs to be paid within 30 days. Tickets for group bookings are only available for collection at Box Office.

Relaxed Performances
All school and group performances are Relaxed Performances.
These performances will have an informal atmosphere which can be particularly suitable for anyone who feels more comfortable in a relaxed environment which allows for noise and movement, or exit/re-entry when needed.
This may include children, young people and adults with neurodivergence such as autism, learning difficulties and other sensory or communication needs.
Relaxed performances of Hansel & Gretel offer zoned seating areas to meet the needs of all audience members.
Please let our Box Office team know which zones you would like to be seated in during the booking process.
Wheelchair users can be accommodated in zones 1 and 2.
Zone 1 is for people who may need some extra space; have visual, hearing or multisensory impairments; may need to take part in a touch tour prior to the show; may require sensory input throughout the show.
Zone 2 is for people who may not require extra space but may give short amounts of attention, may need to leave and re-enter the auditorium, may have stimming needs, may require a social story and may have sensory processing difficulties.
Zone 3 is for people who may need to leave and re-enter the auditorium periodically.
A dedicated chillout space is available for each performance.
