Disability Consultancy for Creative Change (DC4CC) Open Session Three: STAKEHOLDERS, DISABILITY AND LEADERSHIP

Open Session Three of the Disability Consultancy for Creative Change (DC4CC) is an opportunity for D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse artists, arts practitioners and enthusiasts, to gather in an informal online setting, to proactively reflect on the importance of engaging diverse and capable leaders, particularly at managerial/directorial level, in shaping the future of the industry.

We’ll discuss D/deaf and disabled people’s own creative ambitions beyond ‘making an art piece’, considering the value of applying our knowledge towards creating structural change.

The session will be structured through asking research questions and facilitated by the DC4CC consultants, but this is deliberately an open forum for conversation to flow freely.

The questions we’ll be asking are:

  • What is your experience in getting your access needs met in relation to your creative ambition?
  • How do you reconcile your working practice with having a disability? Do the different payment/benefits structures affect your ability to work creatively?

The session will take place over Zoom, with a BSL interpreter and captions available.

We welcome artists at all stages in their career to attend this session.
