The Junction

Rock is a very wide genre of music. It’s common characteristics are prominent vocals accompanied by electric and bass guitar, and drums. Its roots lie mainly with the rock & roll music of the 50’s that drew upon blues, country and jazz influences to name a few. Since the genre’s creation it’s continued to evolve and expand in many directions and encompasses an ever-growing list of sub-genres such as psych, prog, heavy metal and folk rock.
