And finally...Wild Skies Comes to an End
Wild Skies was a huge project which recorded 82 bands form the county on to five professionally produced CDs. It involved over 550 hours of studio time and produced over 350 minutes of highly engaging music. The CDs are still on sale at non-chain record shops and venues around the county but if you would like a CD and can’t find them, then let me know and I’ll do you a deal. We sent out over 500 CDs to record companies across the UK and we had airplay in UK France, Germany, Canada and the USA. Not bad really! The Project was funded through the East England Arts Regional lottery programme with partnership funding from Cambridge City, Fenland, East Cambs (ADEC), South Cambs and Huntingdonshire councils. Well done to all the bands and musicians who contributed to this historic project.
