TEH May 2004 meet in Sweden

The 57th Trans Europe Halles meeting will be held at Mejeriet in Lund, Sweden from 6th - 9th May.

The meeting will be themed on digital technology and new possibilities such as live streaming and content management systems.

This excellent networking opportunity will bring together staff from over 30 European cultural centres. Questions to be answered include: What can we learn from each other? Can we build mutual systems? What about the exclusiveness of the technical solutions, excluding those who have no access? What about the pressure to constantly upgrade equipment and the enormous impact of this on the environment and on working conditions?

The meeting promises:
• Professional development for people in your venue working with computer systems, internet, sharing experiences and knowledge.
• Workshops
• The TEH-event Go Clubbin’ Europe involving several centers simultanousley via internet.
• Seminars and debates in collaboration with the Regional Social Forum taking place at the same time in Lund about globalism, consumerism and what we in the cultural field can do about that.
• And of course parties, nice people, good food and other things that make life a pleasure.
