Youth Dance England is the national agency to connect young people and dance. Working to raise the profile of youth dance and advocate its benefits, YDE develops strategic projects to provide opportunities for young people and professional artists/practitioners throughout the country to participate in high quality programmes. YDE create new partnerships between those providing and supporting dance activities for young people to increase the number and quality of opportunities available: working across the arts, community, education, sport, youth and youth justice sectors. Claire Townsend is the Regional Youth Dance England Coordinator in the East and is based at The Junction.
