- Level access throughout the ground floor
- Wheelchair accessible lifts to first floor levels
- Wheelchair accessible toilets

- Infrared hearing assistance system in Junction 1, 2 & 3.

The Junction 1 is a standing only venue. Customers with access needs or those who have difficulty standing for long periods of time should inform the box office in advance of the event. The Duty Manager of the event will do everything possible to ensure a comfortable viewing position is provided. The Junction cannot however guarantee a seated position will give a reasonable view of the performance in J1. In the interests of Health and Safety it is not possible to place free standing stools or seats at the front of the auditorium.

The Junction welcomes customers with disabilities. Please inform the box office of any special requirements when you book your tickets. Our staff will be pleased to assist you during the event.

If you need a carer or friend to accompany you on your visit to The Junction they will be admitted for free to any event where discounted tickets are available (usually theatre / dance / children’s events). However, it is vital that we are made aware of this at the time of booking as seating may be limited.

For those with guide dogs, we are happy to arrange a member of staff to dog-sit for you for the duration of the performance, but please call in advance if this is required.


Information for Wheelchair Users back to top

The Junction offers flat access to all its main auditoriums and has accessible WC facilities. In Junction 1 these are located by the ladies’ WC and are accessible with a Radar Key. If you do not have a Radar Key then our stewards or box office staff will be pleased to help you.

For theatre and other seated events in Junction 2, three positions and ten wheelchair spaces are available, but we do need to know in advance. If you would prefer to sit in a theatre seat rather than your wheelchair our staff will be pleased to help you.

Wheelchair users are entitled to bring a carer for free to gigs and clubs in Junction 1.

Dedicated disabled parking spaces operated by NCP Car Parks are situated in front of Junction 2 and in the multi-storey car park off Clifton Way less than 100 metres from the entrance to Junction 1.

Visually Impaired Customers back to top

Registered visually impaired customers are welcome to attend any event. For seated events please inform the box office staff when booking tickets and we will hold front row seats for you. Alternatively, you are welcome to sit anywhere in the auditorium should you so wish. Please inform a steward if you need any assistance during your visit.

Guide Dogs back to top

Working dogs are welcome at The Junction. Should you wish, a member of staff will be happy to dog-sit for you for the duration of the performance, but please call in advance if this is required.

Hearing Impaired Customers back to top

The Junction is equipped with an induction loop in its foyer areas. Within both its main auditoria infra-red hearing assistance systems are in operation. Please switch your hearing aid to T for the duration of the performance. If you are having difficulty with the reception please inform a steward or technician and we will try to improve the performance of the system. The fire alarm at The Junction is equipped with flashing beacons in the auditorium to aid you should evacuation be necessary.

The Junction has flat access throughout for performers and there are accessible WC facilities backstage. The stage in Junction 1 is accessible using a stair lift. In Junction 2 there is level access to the stage.
