Club School back to top

Are you keen to learn about promoting and performing on the club scene?

If the answer is YES, why not join the 'Club School' programme organised by The Junction and held at Romsey Mill (off Mill Rd in Cambridge) this summer?

Club School will demonstrate how to go about producing and presenting a club night. A day of DJ skills is included but it is not the be all and end all - just as important are the flier design sessions, the conceptual discussions, the friendships formed, the marketing and press seminars, the 'making it in the music business' workshop, the sound and light demonstration, the decor design sessions and then of course the club night itself.

The club school is open to people aged 13-21, costs £22.50 and takes place from Monday 26th July to Thursday 29th July with the club night on Thursday 5th August.

Some preliminary work has to be done, so prior to the club school week there will be 2 sessions to attend which is where a name for the club night and the concept for the night will be discussed and the publicity prepared. These dates are:

Tuesday 29th June, 7-9pm - Discuss what the night will be called, what music will be played and discuss the marketing and publicity for the club night.

Tuesday 6th July, 7-9pm - Designing the flier for the night with The Junction's flier design artist.
