The Magician's Daughter back to top

A wicked magician tricks the King and the Queen into giving him their son as a playmate for his daughter. The young boy and the magician's daughter grow very fond of each other. When the magician sees what's going on he threatens to eat the boy for breakfast unless he carries out a series of tasks. He has to muck-out the biggest stables in the world, drain the deepest lake and climb the tallest tree. But when they finally defeat the magician there are other people prepared to use even meaner magic to keep them apart.

The story is told by a pair of washerwomen in the royal laundry with the help of a lot of mops, oodles of washing-up liquid and a wicked sense of fun.

Internationally renowned Multi Story have created their own hugely entertaining version of a traditional folktale.

Multistory Theatre Company will be performing at Waterbeach Primary School at 11am and Great Abington Primary School at 3pm. Tickets are available in advance from the Junction and the schools office or on the day.
