Green Mind 9th Birthday Party
After 9 years, thousands of bands and lots of hangovers, Green Mind rolls on to year 9. This year we've got Los Campesinos! to help us see it off right...
Los Campesinos! are a UK indie band that avoid the all of the negative clichés associated with the genre. The band instead takes inspiration from many international acts such as Pavement, Deerhoof and Architecture In Helsinki.
Expect a wide range of instrumentation, from brass to the glockenspiel and songs about the death and decay of the human body, lost love, mental breakdown, and football, including material from their new album Romance Is Boring.
Support: Swanton Bombs and Islet

Feat.Toyah Wilcox, Bill Reiflin,Chris Wong with a special guest appearance from Robert Fripp
The Humans are three people: Toyah Willcox, Bill Rieflin (REM) and Chris Wong. On their first single release, These Boots Are Made For Walkin’, they are joined by legendary guitarist and musician Robert Fripp.
This new cover version, a 21st century twist on the Nancy Sinatra classic, is very much the sum of the disparate parts. Its deconstructed style, taken still further on their new album, is a radical departure for Toyah (who already has 20 albums and 13 Top 40 singles to her credit) who conceived the band.
The Humans comprise highly respected musicians from widely different musical backgrounds. They bring together lifetimes of musical experience. They were formed by Toyah in 2007 after a touring invitation from the President of Estonia to Robert Fripp (her husband) . His declining the offer provided the impetus for her to forge a new creative venture, a significant musical departure.
