A night of words in many guises

An evening showcasing three diverse wordsmiths delivering the voice as an instrument.

Hollie McNish, based in Cambridgeshire, is a UK slam poetry champion many times over! Her spoken word ranges from political, sexy, feel good, furious and pure comedy.

Cultivater (Nicky Smith and Dick Field) exude warm and subtle positive energy through a hypnotic blend of harmonic bass lines, direct and beautifully inspiring lyrics ... a must for those who like gentle provocation.

croc E moses was born in Canada and has lived over half his life in Southern Africa as a poet, musician and artist.  He has now shacked up with his girlfriend outside Cambridge.  His work is rhythm driven, talking song, a conjunction of poetry, music, dance and drama.  He recently opened for the legendary dub poet Linton Kwezi Johnson in Cape Town.

25% of proceeds from this event will go to a project called Gone Rural boMake in Swaziland, Africa.  To visit the Gone Rural website click here.

A free post performance workshop will take place on Saturday 19 December upstairs at CB2 Cafe in Cambridge.  This is a great opportunity for aspiring writers / performers or for anyone who would like to access the performers in a less formal context.  For more information email skwatcha@gmail.com.
