Koolwaters Album Tour

Tonight Dot Cotton celebrates our 18th Birthday with the most iconic figure of the last three decades, who continues to grab the limelight with his antics and lifestyle. Not only did he dictate the way a nation dressed, but he has carved out a musical career spanning over 30 years.

Today he still leads the way in popular music and delivers a DJ set that pushes the boundaries of house music and electronica. A true legend is about to give you a birthday present you will never forget - Dot Cotton welcomes the one and only Boy George.

RedCape Theatre: The Idiot Colony
RedCape Theatre: The Idiot Colony

Theatre

RedCape Theatre present The Idiot Colony, a visually stunning and inventive blend of physical theatre and text.

The Idiot Colony is based on real life accounts of the treatment and incarceration of “moral defectives” in 1940's England. It is genuinely funny and incredibly moving.

Forgotten for decades inside a mental hospital, three women escape their present by remembering their past. In the asylum's hair salon, to the strains of Rick Astley and Glenn Miller they relive wartime affairs, illicit trysts and childhood secrets.

The Idiot Colony won a Total Theatre Award for Best Visual Theatre and a Scotsman Fringe First Winner in 2008.

Produced by Turtle Key Arts
Performed and Co-created by Claire Coaché, Cassie Friend and Rebecca Loukes
Directed by Andrew Dawson
Written by Lisle Turner
