Frank Turner returns to The Junction after his storming set in January with his brand of folk songwriting, catchy melodies and punk passion.

His third studio album, Poetry Of The Deed, released worldwide in September, sees Frank venture in a more rock direction recruiting his outstanding band for the recording process.

To tie in with the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin, Robin Ince will introduce a selection of special guests including acclaimed author Simon Singh, award-winning comedian Josie Long, folk musician Gavin Osborn and writer of the best-selling Bad Science, Ben Goldacre. Please be aware that guests are subject to change.

 

The night will mix readings from Richard Feynman and Carl Sagan, stand-up about the human genome project and short-sighted male Africa orchid beetles, songs about the behaviour of Bonobo apes and much more.

Cambridge's Burlesque sensation Salon Rouge, returns with La Clique star Bret Pfister and Anna Fur Laxis & friends plus Felicity Flappes, Cherry & Ruby and more plus Vintage De Luxe and DJ Crash & Burn with a variety of sounds from the 40s, 50s and present day.

 

Dress: Ravishing, Vintage and Moulin Rouge. Dressing up is the norm. If you don't make the effort, you may not get in.

 

Tickets are expected to sell out in advance. Do not buy tickets from touts or unofficial ticket agents – they are more than likely to be forgeries. Any dubious tickets or forgeries will be confiscated from you and you will not be admitted to the event. If you ignore this advice you are likely to pay a lot of money for something worthless as your ticket will be invalid.

 

Please note: group bookings of 6+ tickets must be collected from the Box Office on the night of the event from 9pm, they cannot be posted or collected before this time.
