Faulty Optic: Fish Clay Perspex
Faulty Optic: Fish Clay Perspex

Theatre

Observations from an unhinged mind

World renowned for their haunting tales, visual theatre, strange animated figures and dark humour Faulty Optic presents the eccentric, droll and compassionate performance Fish Clay Perspex.

In this simple, small-scale, low technology piece, Faulty Optic manipulates puppets, miniature, armless, pointy-footed figures, clay, lagging, pens and plastic.

The show is composed of a series of short, compelling character studies and incidences based upon chance, futility, expectation, doubt and the turmoil caused by the flailings and failings of the human mind.

Highlights include falling beasts, battered clay, bendy legs, bad drawing, frantic scribbling and the comic scrabbling of a simple, guileless duo.

Escape normality, suspend your disbelief and enter the magical world of visual and surreal adult puppetry.

“you are plunged into a bizarre micro-world where anything can happen – and what does happen, however strange, seems perfectly normal” The Guardian

Suitable for ages 14+

Doors / Bar open 7pm.

Free tickets for under 26 year olds are available for this performance through A Night Less Ordinary, an Arts Council England scheme.  Click here for more information.
