Youth theatre performance
Our town. Our streets. Our houses. Our walls. We can do what we like - it’s our patch. Or is it?
Draw back the curtains and look into the dark – the dim and distant lives of those who were there before. Find out the stories they have to tell……the things they have left behind. So…what are we leaving behind…..?
CLASH, CYT2 and CYT3 youth theatres will come together for this production, working with our partner the Cambridgeshire Collection, to create a new performance piece which explores the stories of the streets in Cambridge.
Devised by the company and written by Emily Taylor
Directed by Lucy Crowe
The production is supported by Cambridge City Council and The Junction.
Suitable for ages 11+.
Cafe open from 7pm.

All of The Planet's Wonders (Shown in Detail)
All of the Planet's Wonders (Shown in Detail) is a show about bizarre private collections and about making sense of the world. It's inspired by the Pitt Rivers museum, which is an overcrowded, seemingly ramshackle collection of objects that have been painstakingly arranged and rigorously hand-categorised.
It's a show about curiosity and enthusiasm. Josie Long always hated science at school, but in this show she sets out to reconnect with science and nature, which at the very least should make her unbeatable at trivial pursuit. It aims to be a silly comedy show so full of wonder and passion for the tiny and the immense that afterwards you'll want to get a magnifying glass and a telescope but use them at separate times.
The show was a sellout at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival and has already been comissioned as a series for Radio 4 and is to be broadcast in Febraury 2009
‘In the macho world of comedy, Josie Long is a breath of fresh air’ The Scotsman
‘well-turned anecdotes and one-liners keep the laughs coming. As adorable as she is funny’ Big Issue
Josie has appeared in Skins (including the forthcoming new series), which she also writes for. In demand both here and abroad, 2008 saw Josie performing sell-out shows at the Comedy Central workspace in Los Angeles, the Adelaide Fringe, the New Zealand Comedy Festival and the Melbourne Comedy Festival where she was nominated for the Barry Award. On top of this she was invited to perform ‘Trying Is Good’ at the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival this July.
She also has two extensive sell-out UK tours under her belt and is still only in her mid-twenties. Her distinctive voice, boundless enthusiasm and innovative shows have made her a favourite among comedians and audiences alike. In May this year she was selected by Stewart Lee to perform in a series of events entitled 'The 10 Best Stand-ups in the World... Ever’
Suitable for 16+ only. Bar open from 7pm.
