Boulevard of Broken Dreams

Boulevard of Broken Dreams is an exciting new dance and live music collaboration between British composer Charlie Barber, Brazilian-born choreographer Jean Abreu and the Mavron String Quartet.

Featuring four male dancers (including Jean Abreu) and the Mavron Quartet, Sound Affairs create an explosive mix of Latin influences, live music, world beats, dance and physical theatre.

The work explores and contrasts aspects of gender and exploits the interaction between the two quartets as characters converge and compete.

“a fluid, muscular mix of modern dance, martial arts and Latin American traditions that looks like nothing else on the London stage. Jean Abreu is one of those choreographers whose vocabulary seems hewn directly out of their own bodies.”  The Guardian

Suitable for all ages.

Bar open from 7pm

Robyn Hitchcock is one of rock's most respected and beloved iconoclasts. Before embarking on a solo career he was the leader of punk / new wave combo The Soft Boys, cited by REM as a major influence. The prolific English singer / songwriter / guitarist's vivid surrealist songcraft has won him an uncommonly devoted international fan base, and created an ongoing demand for rare and unreleased Hitchcock material.
