Ousia

A shapeshifting apparition takes centre stage in this new installation by choreographer and multi disciplinary artist Darren Johnston.  Exploring innovative projection technologies Johnston dips into the world of illusion to create the ultimate hybrid performer.

Gaining notoriety for his distinct live performances and installation work such as Ren-sa 2005, Johnston has successfully merged his background in electronic music subculture with contemporary dance and visual art. His striking audio/visual language has led him to collaborate with artists including Aphex Twin and Squarepusher.
