Dear Body
High energy physical theatre, comedy, and satirical comment on human nature collide in the latest slice of thought-provoking dance theatre from Luca Silvestrini’s award-winning Protein Dance.
A satire on our growing fixation with body care and image, Dear Body employs wit, wisdom and a cast of local performers alongside professional dancers to analyse the most private relationship of all: the one we have with ourselves.
Please note: this performance contains nudity.
A co-production with DanceXchange, commissioned by Swindon Dance, DanceXchange, Southbank Centre, Centre Chorégraphique National Roubaix Pas to Calais, Yorkshire Dance and Hextable Dance with support from Brighton Dome and Wyvern Theatre.

The modern experience of ‘being young’ is, to the onlooker, defined by a barrage of clichés, stereotypes and assumptions…
Impossible aspirations of wealth and stardom are represented as normality within our own culture. But, as they aspire towards these dreams, young people balance on a precarious tightrope between success or failure!

Buzzcocks will perform their first 2 classic albums Another Music In A Different Kitchen and Love Bites in their entirety + other hits.
Buzzcocks’ first album, Another Music in a Different Kitchen, was released almost exactly thirty years ago. It is a major punk landmark and a great record to boot. It’s full of fire, wit, speed, philosophical lyrics and gender explorations, as well the sly psychedelia that always made Buzzcocks stand out from the pack.
Love Bites is the second Buzzcocks recording. It came at a troubled period for the group and the culture that had formed them. After the demise of the Rotten Sex Pistols in January 1978, Punk was seen as over: its original unitary thrust dissipated into movement and countermovement, Power Pop, Post-Punk, Mod Revival. As a front rank punk group, Buzzcocks were in danger of becoming yesterday’s future. Or so it seemed.
In fact, 1978 was an extraordinary year for the group. They released two albums, five singles – all of them hits, with two in the top twenty – and toured relentlessly. One of those singles, Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve?) is now acknowledged as a pop classic
