This Child is presented by The Junction in association with Company of Angels and Pilot Theatre.
Written by Joel Pommerat and translated by Nigel Gearing, This Child is an exploration of the feelings, from the noblest to the most shameful that bind parents and children together. The play, remarkable in its intensity, stages various family confrontations that all show the complexity of the family bond, in clear and transparent language. The play is being staged in 3 different communities - in York, in Southwark and in Cambridge with 3 different casts and directors involved. Integral to the idea is to have a This Child 'shuffle' where the 3 productions comed together for a 'mixed' performance during the Theatre Cafe Festival 2008.
The performance is followed by a discussion with the cast and director.
Suitable for ages 12+ only. Bar open from 7pm.

Stop-start cheeky street-urchin punk from The Holloways, who are based, of course, in Holloway. Distorted guitars and retro stylings are combined with whimsical fiddle and a naughty attitude and it's that combination of forthright cheekiness and romance that has won The Holloways their fame.
