Can a spectator influence what is happening on stage simply by his or her presence? Can the action onstage influence the very will of the spectator and the desire for self-enrichment? Is it possible to project the action on stage directly into the mind and soul of the spectator?
The female protagonist of this multimedia piece faces all of these questions and many more. Her co-performers provoke her, creating magical situations where the simplest reactions are projected into a metaphorical, decidedly absurd realm.
Drawing on the icons, silent movies, shadow theatre and avant-garde art of their native St. Petersburg, White Cabin is a surreal, visual and blackly comic production filled with inspired, bizarre and often touching ‘events’.

About The Company
Akhe is a physical theatre company with an impressive international reputation. Through our partnership with the East Meets East festival, the company is making its first ever visit to the region with this piece of chaotic dream theatre overflowing with fantastical images and endlessly changing stage pictures.
The group was founded by three members of Boris Ponizovski theatre "Yes - No" in 1989. Immediately the group announced itself as independent (in term of styles and form) and started their activity in a performance, cinema and fine art's fields.
From 1996 they counted themselves more like theatre collective and since that time the group has been a permanent participant of theatre festivals in Russia and abroad.
