The Magic Lamp: Mon 08 Dec to Sat 03 Jan
This Christmas, be transported to far off lands with a magical alternative to pantomime.
Indefinite Articles, the creators of Claytime return to The Junction with a Christmas treat for 5 - 11 year olds and their families. The Magic Lamp is a unique version of Aladdin, the story of a boy who, through serendipity alone, ends up with a lamp-dwelling genie at his disposal. Played out in a Bedouin tent with a set filled with billowing muslin drapes, this bewitching shadow play is told using everyday objects such as paper, cooking oil and coloured ink. From these simplest of ingredients, Indefinite Articles conjure up fantastical characters, shimmering transformations, souks, caves, palaces and deserts.
Performances run from Mon 08 Dec to Sat 03 Jan and with two perfomances on most days, there are plenty of opportunities to go on this enchanting adventure and take your imagination on a trip to the exotic Middle East. Tickets are only £30 for a group of four.
